Rise Up House 16 -18's

Our service equips young people with essential life skills, emotional resilience, and knowledge of independent property management. We listen and work with each young person to effectively prepare them for independent living by combining bespoke programmes with theoretical and practical methods. We set our care leavers up to thrive, not just survive.

We provide....

  • On-Site Therapeutic Care – A separate therapy space where young people can access private counselling and a therapy package bespoke to them.  Relevant professionals will receive written reports and regular updates to monitor progress and ensure that Pathway Plan targets are met.

  • Mental Health Screening & Support – Every resident is encouraged to complete a mental health questionnaire within one week of arrival, allowing appropriately trained professionals to assess their emotional needs and recommend tailored support packages where necessary. Each resident will be assigned a dedicated Support Worker, and a qualified counsellor will also complete weekly assessments and therapy sessions for those who require it.

  • Specialised UASC Support – We will provide assistance with British Residency Permit (BRP) applications, solicitor and court appointments, referrals, support to appeal rejected applications, and integration support. We also provide English language support and guidance, ESOL homework assistance, and prayer materials as part of a culturally sensitive welcome pack.

  • A bespoke independence programme - "Preparation for Independent Living", will be made available in a format accessible for each resident.  It comprises of both practical and theoretical sections with tasks and questionnaires to assess each person’s understanding and retention. This programme is delivered from a booklet and is worked through at a pace suitable for each young person and in a format they can easily understand and relate to.

  • Trauma-Informed Care – Staff are trained in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma-informed practices to provide the highest level of emotional and psychological support. Staff are also trained in Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE)

  • Culture and Arts Outings -We will offer regular group outings to broaden experiences, stimulate conversations about hobbies and encourage team building.  We will support and encourage our young people to attend and engage in Sports events and additional activities to include films, music, theatre, galleries, museums, eating out, nature and sightseeing.

  • Personalised Welcome Packs – Each resident receives on arrival:

    • A Comfort Welcome Pack (including essentials for emotional well-being).
